Once I apply for Online
Banking, how long does it take to set up my account so I
can start using it? Once we've received
your online application for Online Banking, we'll
generally send your Service Agreement and Enrollment
form within one business day. You should receive it by
mail within 3 business days. Once we receive the
completed Service Agreement and Enrollment form we will
mail you your initial Access ID and Password. You are
now set to start using our Online
Banking.
Will Online Banking help
me balance my checking account? Yes,
absolutely. Quicken, Microsoft Money, and QuickBooks
software all include an "account reconciliation"
feature, which updates your records every time you
download. So there's no more waiting for a monthly
statement to see where you stand and also this can
eliminate the need for you to manually reconcile your
accounts!
How often is my Security
State Bank account information
updated? Your information is updated daily.
Your balances and transactions from the previous
business day are instantly available for downloading
into your computer. Transactional data is stored on the
system for approximately 30 days.
Just how safe is my
financial information when I bank
online? We knew you'd ask that question, so
we have lots of information for you! We want you to know
that security and privacy are built into Online Banking.
For instance, access to our online services requires at
least a six-digit Access ID and an eight character/digit
password that only you know. Your browser is also
required to have a 128 bit encryption. This is the
highest security level available. Here are a few simple
things you can do to maximize the security and
confidentiality of your Online Banking relationship:
Choose an Access ID and password that's easy for you to
remember, but not obvious to someone else. For instance,
don't use part of your Social Security number, phone
number, or birth date. Change your password often. Do
not share your Access ID and Password with
anyone.
Why can't I Log onto my
Accounts? Check to make sure your Caps Lock is
not on. Remember your Access ID and Password are case
sensitive. If you have tried more than three times with
the wrong Access ID or Password your account will be
locked out and you must call the bank to have them reset
your account.
